digital innovation

Edward de Bono once said: As competition increases, there is also a growing need of innovation and creative thinking. It is not enough to do the same, better, and to solve problems efficiently. Much more is needed. The current speed of change and globalization require innovation and creativity from both companies and executives. To bring about the change required by all competitive companies, this creativity must be achieved at the strategic and customer services levels, from the administration to the true entrepreneurial spirit.”

We live in a digital economy subject to a permanent change. The companies that won’t adapt and innovate today, will gradually fall behind until they are no longer competitive and disappear. What works well today, might be obsolete tomorrow. At íncipy we believe that every company, public or private, needs to be able to integrate digital innovation in a natural way.

Innovation is converting knowledge and ideas into new or better products, services or processes to obtain a competitive advantage in the market. Digital innovation is simply doing that in an open and much quicker way thanks to new technologies, social networks and Web 2.0.

“Digital Innovation Management” is a working method to drive innovation from within the company, using everything that happens around it as a reference. This includes what happens on the Internet, in conversations on the social networks of the current and potential customers, employees, competitors, etc. Good ideas are captured, evaluated, developed and integrated in an open, fast and profitable way with the help of a team of contractors.

That is what we do at íncipy, the first Spanish company devoted to digital innovation outsourcing: we teach and help companies and institutions to use social media and interactivity to obtain the best from their employees, customers and users.

A Dutch saying says: “We cannot avoid the wind but we can build windmills” ;)
